Joy Bags
Despite the ongoing war with Russia, we remain committed to partnering with First Baptist Zhytomyr and the surrounding village ministries in Ukraine. This partnership has become even more vital during these challenging times, as the church serves as a beacon of hope and refuge for those impacted by the conflict. Together, we work to meet urgent physical needs through the distribution of food bags, Joy Bags, and other resources while sharing the gospel message with individuals searching for peace and comfort. By standing alongside this faithful local church, we help strengthen their ministry and ensure that the light of Christ continues to shine brightly, even in the midst of hardship.
Joy Bags are a special way to bring hope and happiness to families in poverty and children in orphanages across Ukraine during the Christmas season, especially to those who might not receive any other gifts that year. When we first started going to Ukraine, we shipped the Joy Boxes halfway around the world, but due to the current situation in Ukraine, we now construct the Joy Bags in-country. Filled with toys, hygiene items, and treats, these bags are distributed through First Baptist Zhytomyr, local villages, and orphanages, making each gift an extension of Christ’s love and care. Beyond meeting practical needs, the distribution of Joy Bags opens doors for evangelism, as volunteers share the gospel message while delivering these gifts. More than tangible blessings, these bags remind recipients they are not forgotten and that God’s love reaches even the most difficult circumstances, ensuring the true joy of Christmas is shared alongside each gift.
Food Bag Distribution

This ministry strengthens relationships within the community, as the members and volunteers of First Baptist Zhytomyr, along with those serving in the villages, share God’s love in a tangible way, offering both immediate relief and the encouragement needed to face tomorrow.
Building His Church
In Ukraine, the country where we’ve been serving the longest, we partner with First Baptist Zhytomyr and various village ministries to bring hope and the gospel to those in need. Despite the ongoing war with Russia, we remain committed to supporting pastors, evangelists, and church planters as they serve their communities. Each year, donations provide both financial and practical assistance, enabling these faithful servants to focus on spreading the gospel and planting churches. This long-standing partnership has played a crucial role in empowering local leaders, expanding the reach of the gospel across Ukraine, and bringing hope to many through the faithful proclamation of Christ.
Thanks to generous donations, we are able to provide gifts for orphans and those in poverty to villages across Ukraine. These gifts, constructed in-country, not only meet practical needs but also share the love of Christ and the joy of Christmas with those who need it most.
