Huasteca in Central Mexico

Our ministry in Mexico is focused on planting and proclaiming the gospel in areas where there are no churches, aiming to establish a lasting Christian churches in these communities. We partner with the local church, Emanuel Reformed First Baptist Church, to support indigenous pastors, providing them with theological education. Church planting remains the heart of our mission, with efforts to establish gospel-centered congregations in areas without any churches. Additionally, initiatives like Joy Boxes bring practical expressions of God’s love to children and families during Christmas, opening doors for gospel proclamation and evangelism. By equipping pastors, building churches, and sharing the hope of Christ, we seek to transform lives and communities for His glory.

Why central Mexico?

  • Voice of the Martyrs writes about this area in Central Mexico: "The region has been dubbed the Circle of Silence because fewer than 1% of its residents identify as biblical followers of Christ.”

  • According to American Bible society, “Although the official language is Spanish, more than 60 languages are spoken in Mexico. Of these, just 7 have translated complete Bibles.”

  • According to Open Doors,  “Christians face persecution and death for serving Christ. Mexico routinely ranks in the top 50 countries for Christian persecution in the world each year.”

In Central Mexico, our ministry is driven by the mission to proclaim that there is only one sacrifice sufficient to make us clean and right before God—it is in Christ alone. This message is at the core of all we do, and it must remain biblical and uncompromised. To ensure the gospel continues transforming lives, we focus on planting healthy churches as the means for lasting impact. Our role is to bring the light of Christ to areas where no churches currently exist, reminded of the call of Romans 15:20-21 to preach where Christ has not been named. Through faithfully preaching the Word of God and discipling new believers, we aim to see the gospel take root in communities, establishing a foundation for generational faithfulness.

A key part of our ministry in central Mexico is equipping local and indigenous believers through discipleship and theological education. Many in these communities lack access to formal training, yet they hunger to grow in their knowledge of God and His Word. Following the model of 2 Timothy 2:2, we are committed to entrusting sound doctrine to faithful individuals who can teach others also. This discipleship is centered on biblical training, ensuring that leaders are grounded in the truth of Scripture and equipped to serve their churches and communities. By providing this theological foundation, we aim to strengthen the church and raise up leaders who will continue proclaiming the gospel for generations to come.

Joy Boxes are a tangible expression of Christ’s love, bringing hope and encouragement to those in need. These boxes are distributed to two primary regions: Appalachia and central Mexico. In Appalachia, they provide relief to families facing economic hardship. In central Mexico, Joy Boxes are sent to churches faithfully preaching the true gospel, to Christians enduring persecution or suffering, and to unreached areas where there are no churches. As we share these gifts, we follow the biblical call to “do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10). Each box is more than a gift—it’s a tool to share the gospel and strengthen the work of the local church, opening doors for ministry in communities that desperately need the hope found in Christ.
